Nutrition Services: Food is medicine

Health professionals agree that Nutrition Services are one of the first treatments individuals should receive to improve conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and hypertension.

At Tri-County Memorial, our Nutrition Services team works closely with every patient-care department.

Tri-County Memorial Hospital offers a full range of Medical Nutrition Therapy Services. With a physician referral your insurance may provide coverage for a consultation. Under the Medicare Part B Program, you can receive nutrition services to help improve your health for diabetes and renal disease.

Our services

  • Individualized weight loss counseling
  • Carbohydrate Controlled diet instruction
  • “TLC” Therapeutic lifestyle diet instruction for cholesterol/LDL reduction
  • Renal diet instruction
  • Low sodium diet instructions
  • Body Composition Analysis

Department Hours
8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you need to be seen earlier or later we will work with you to meet your needs.

Registered dietitians have:

  • At least a bachelor’s degree;
  • Completed an accredited practice/training program in nutrition;
  • Certification and a recognized credential;
